August has been a huge month for me! I've met some incredible artists, worked on some amazing projects and had some more work published too!
Wedding season is kicking off again for 2016 which is always a super exciting time of year. Lots of final plans coming to life as Pinterest boards, magazine scrapbooks and blog post after blog post become a reality. So far I've seen some really exciting new styles coming through which is sure to make for an amazing season. I can;t wait to get photos back from the new Husband and Wives to show you all!
Teaching is kicking up a notch once again as the year starts to draw to a close. Makeup Artists in the making are starting to get their business plans together as they build their clientele. Its so exciting at this stage when you see your students getting their dreams down on paper to make their career goals happen. As a Makeup artist you are self employed in the majority of your career paths so its always a challenge and it can be daunting at times. So its a crucial time in any makeup artists career to get off to the right start.
Commercial work is kicking along as well. Never a dull moment there! Unfortunately its all secret and hush hush until its released to the public. But as soon as I can, I promise to post it here. Models, Dancers, Extras, long hours and lots and lots of fun.
Now for the exciting stuff!
I love a good collaborative photoshoot. This is where creatives get together on a rare day off to make a vision come to life in print to submit to magazines, online blogs or social channels. Its the stuff we love to do and don't always get the chance in the busy lives of creative artists so when the option comes up, its great to jump in with a group of like minded, enthusiastic photographers, stylists, models and brands to make it happen.
Take a look below my favourite photos from this months editorials. I'll post the series in full later if you want to check it all out with full beauty and fashion credits.
Thats all from me for now,
