This is the ultimate. Relaxed, stylish, happy and genuine wedding with your nearest and dearest.
Felicity and Carrick had exactly that when they set their sights on an easy going south coast wedding snuggled in to the landscape of Jervis Bay, the home of the beautiful Hyams Beach.
If you've had a read of a few previous posts you'll know I love the work of John Benavente. He is a local photographer who is so amazing at what he does. Whenever a couple say they have John with them on the day I know the photos will be incredible. And its no surprise that this wedding made it to the glossy pages on Hello May Magazine
Felicity's makeup was simple and highlighted the gorgeous colours in the bouquet by Gypsy Flora. We decided on a red balmy lip that would wear off gently throughout the day and leave just a touch of a stain so she wouldn't have to touch up through the night. This colour was from Nudestix in the shade Stiletto. Its a cruelty free lipstick pencil thats so easy to apply, just like a giant lipliner. Low maintenance glam right here
The ceremony and reception was at one of my all time favourite venues, Bundanon Retreat along the banks of the Shoalhaven River. Bundanon Retreat is in Cambewarra just to the west of Nowra and was once the residence of Artist Arthur Boyd and his wife Yvonne. Now its is the home of a gorgeous celebration hall and ethical wedding venue.
Sometimes the bridal party get ready on site and we use the amazing library space for hair and makeup throughout the morning. Its a light filled space for all your bridal beauty prep and a perfect backdrop for amazing photos too.
