Vegan vs. Cruelty Free Makeup
There is a bit of a murky cloud around what vegan makeup is and how it differs to Cruelty Free Cosmetics. And there is a huge misconception that finding these products is too hard for the average makeup lover. But to be honest, you are probably using lots of vegan and cruelty free makeup already without even knowing it.
The main difference between Vegan and Cruelty Free Makeup is that vegan makeup contains no animal products or bi-products what so ever. Cruelty free products may contain animal derived ingredients such as bees wax or lanolin but animals are not involved in the testing process to develop the cosmetics we find on our store shelves and displayed in their windows.
Unfortunately some vegan products are tested on animals which I find bizarre however the ways this industry works can be a little odd at times.
