Everyone loves a wedding, seeing your closest friends and family declare their love, everyone dressed up and feeling beautiful, its a wonderful occasion, one that people from all walks of life enter and enjoy. And if you're in a beautiful part of the globe like the Southern Highlands its no surprise you'll see a celebrity or two tying the knot every now and again.
Here is a list of my three favourite Celebrity Weddings in the Southern Highlands over the past few years!
Wiggle Wedding - Homewood House
With the second generation of Wiggles coming into the world of hot potatoes and cold spaghetti, young love has sprouted and they are just the cutest couple! Lachy and Emma tied the knot in Bowral at the gorgeous Homewood House.
What I love most about this wedding is Emma's amazing dress. The long sleeves, lace bodice and soft flowing skirt combination is spectacular. She looks like a modern day Grace Kelly wandering through the green fields of the estate.
Take a look for yourself!

Peter Stefanovic and Sylvia Jeffries - Oralaba Estate
This couple need no introduction, Sylvia and Peter grace our screens on a daily basis! The glamour couple were married at the elegant Ooralba Estate in Kangaroo Valley.
Sylvia's makeup was natural, soft and glowing, showing off her beautiful features. Paired with a relaxed hair style and a gorgeous dress, she was the picture of a loved up, blushing bride.
Sam Burgess and Phoebe Hooke - Bowral
Rabbitoh's Star, Sam Burgess and his wife, Phoebe were married in Bowral at her parents' sprawling estate home. Her Alex Perry gown was magnificent, long lace train and a perfect silhouette for her fantastic figure. Paired with relaxed waves in her hair and natural makeup, she looked beautiful in every way. The couple were the envy of many a bride and groom to be
Gorgeous Rosalie married the man of her dreams this past November. Nestled in the grounds of Peppers Craigieburn, Bowral, the pair were married surrounded by family and friends.
Rosie has the most amazing peaches and cream complexion and we championed this by keeping her eyes soft and defined and lips just a touch more than her natural colour. I really love letting the bride's natural beauty shine through rather than a mask like makeup which covers what makes her uniquely beautiful. I was so happy that Rosie came to me with this idea in mind
Take a look through the photos of Rosie and Dan's wedding day. It was a real treat to be her makeup artist on the day and share in their happiness.
Dubbed 'Bride-Chilla' by her bridesmaids, Kristen was probably one of the most relaxed brides I have ever encountered and her squad of besties were relaxed and ready to stand by their girl for what would be the biggest day of her life.
Married in Wollongong, NSW, Kristen was the picture of a south coast, down to earth, happy, bride to be. Smiling from ear to ear, we started her wedding makeup and made her feel beautiful and glamorous before walking down the aisle.
Take a look at the gorgeous pics taken by photographer extraordinaire, Alana Taylor.
I had the pleasure of being a part of a beautiful wedding, in a beautiful location, on a beautiful day.
Lachlan and Zoe were married at Willow Farm in Berry, just south of Kiama, NSW. It was a perfect day and their unique wedding suited them to a Tee. Zoe's hair and makeup was simple, natural and showed off her beautiful pale skin and funky style.
I just love being a makeup artist for beautiful brides like Zoe. It makes my job so rewarding and truly an honour. Without any further ado, here are some pics and even a video of their beautiful day

Til next time,
One of the most rewarding parts of being a makeup artist is being able to help a bride feel amazing on her wedding day. Bridal makeup is something that I never saw myself getting into when studying to be honest, I was most interested in theatre and stage makeup. But then I filled in for a friend when she was unable to make it to one of her bookings and that was it. I was in love. There was something about the anticipation, the love in the air and the way the bride to be glowed that made me feel like I was able to make a difference to such a monumental day.
Octavia reminded me exactly why I love being a bridal makeup artist. She was happy, excited, and enjoying the morning's activities with her closest friends before meeting her Groom at the end of the aisle to say 'I Do'. Despite the morning wind, Octavia and Michael were married that afternoon at Montrose Berry Farm in Sutton Forest.
John Benavente captured the beautiful day and below are some of his photos. If you would like to see the whole collection, visit his website here.
So you've heard about 'Lash Lifts' and you're wondering what on earth they are. No, they aren't an exercise to give you stronger eyelids and lashes, they are essentially an eyelash perm and often packaged with a tint to give you jet black, long curled up and 'lifted' lashes.
The before and after photos above speak for themselves but its also good to know how it works and why its a great option for those who love a good lash but aren't wanting eyelash extensions.
So how does it work?
A lash lift is first prepped by adhering a foam rod or rubber pad to your eyelid that your upper lashes are then bent over to create the curl you like. Then a perm solution and neutraliser is applied before its washed off, then the rod is removed and tint is brushed onto your upper and lower lashes. After a few more minutes the tint is removed and your lashes dried.
And thats it. Usually you are in and out within 40 minutes or less and then you don't need mascara or those scary eyelash curlers at all. Perfect for low maintenance summer beach beauty and those tear jerking movies we can't seem to stay away from.
